DISCIPLINE MONTH: DAY 26: “If we don’t discipline ourselves, the world will do it for us.” ― William Feather
We can all think of some time or event, perhaps several, when we “got away with” something for which we were not punished or caught.
That is not necessarily truly the way it is, but the way we view it. The Universe and the energy therein ALWAYS has that deed or action in our bodies and our spirits. There is no loophole that I have found anywhere in this Universe. We may believe so, but that is not the case.
Not every law of man is a Universal law either.
The idea of cheating the Universe in most cases is, in fact, just cheating. If we lie to someone or lie on our taxes, I do not believe there is a difference. We may justify these things to ourselves, but they are still on our souls, as I see it.
I don’t know about the discipline of the “world,” but I do believe in a sense of balance in the Universe. I see it in all areas. Where we have wantonly destroyed the ecology of this planet, I see the way it begins to bring itself back into alignment.
My true belief is that all of this and all of us are going to be brought into alignment on a spiritual basis, whether we choose to do that for ourselves or not. There is no loop hole in a spiritual way of life. I am not happy entirely with the black and white nature of how that sounds, but it cannot be a gray area.
Dishonesty with one thing is still dishonesty. I don’t believe we can cheat or steal or lie and not pay the psychic price for that, no matter how much we believe it is “OK” or have excuses with which to justify the deed.
Perhaps we did not get caught for every time we did something. What if, in fact, there IS a written ledger on our souls that knows of all these things? I can honestly say that my spirit does not sit well with any dishonesty I commit. Whether I am drinking and drugging or not, I know when I have lied and cheated and stolen. I must clean these things up, because they weigh heavily on my soul.
I am not willing to live with that any longer, nor do I find any acceptable means of justifying any of it for myself or anyone else. There just are not any loopholes in this thing that I can find.
