DISCIPLINE MONTH: DAY 22: “Cultivate an environment fertile for good habits to flourish” ― Money Tree Man

I am not sure who “Money Tree Man” is, but I resonated with this quote and it jumped out at me today.

I have not written for several days. I have a great number of issues with my wifi and could not write when I came home from being out of town.

So, I have missed this. And I love the idea of “cultivating and environment.” It appeals to me, because I am a big creator of environments. I love moving into new homes, where I can create an environment that is different from the home before. It is, I believe one of the reasons I move so much. I love to create new energy and environments.

Then there is the gardening thing. I love, love, love to create new gardens where flowers and food and herbs and trees can flourish. And butterflies and birds and whatever else may come into my life in each place.

So, cultivating an environment for good habits to flourish…yes! I have created the spaces for my meditation and my writing and my good food to be both grown and cooked in. Good spaces for me to feel loved and nourished. Where I can thrive.

I believe in thriving. I believe in deep recovery from all of the thinking that harms me. I believe in deep recovery and healing from those things that felt broken in my spirit and my life. I feel good energy around me and I want that to be increased, enhanced and multiplied.

And living in a place where there is tremendous beauty and good hiking and lots of trees and animals, and of course, the ocean is a must. I have found the Paradise I was looking for and hope to stay living in this place for a long, long time.

Well, I am off to go explore Paradise for a few hours. See ya!

I am a therapist and counselor with long-term recovery from addictions and personal trauma. My writing reflects these experiences and the road I have traveled in 12-Step recovery settings, along with the work I have done for over 30 years in the field. My love of dolphins includes the stories of them being healers in places all over the world. I long to offer every broken spirit and body the experience of a healing hug. May my words and stories inform, uplift and delight your spirit and soothe your weary heart.
