Yes! The myths exist as analogies to teach us these things. That what frightens us most can be built up into a giant dragon by the ego; and then when we DARE to approach it for purposes of eliminating that dragon in our lives, it becomes the greatest gift we ever received!
Yes! This is the point. There are no dragons. The fears we create and nurture and allow to rule our every moment are ones we MADE UP! They have no purpose, except to keep us from joy and life and happiness. If the ego’s only purpose is to solve problems, in order to keep us under its thumb, it will create gigantic problems everywhere! They do NOT exist…we MUST have the courage to risk blowing the dustcover off the monsters!
Life is beautiful until we refuse to believe in its beauty. We choose…believe the ego/fear (Screaming Purple Monkeys!) or believe the heart (Universal Power/God).
This IS the shift in perspective we must have in order to see life in a new way, to open the gifts of this program and the Universe around us. We MUST let go of our stories about who we are and find the real person we were meant to be.
But that means slaying the dragons we believe are keeping us from our treasures, whether they be a princess, or we be the princess, or it be a life lived in happiness and joy. We can choose between the two.
And acting from Beauty and Courage (what a great line-love it!) is what we are here to do. Let go of all the fear and live from THERE! They live with all the other spiritual principles in our hearts, never in our minds.
The fear is imaginary…the dragons are only real to the S.P.M….not the heart. The heart knows it can win…in love, in joy, in life. It goes on far longer than the stories…allow it to have its way with you. The dragons turn into tiny kittens, waiting for you to love them and heal both you and them.
