About these posts:

These are daily writings I have done for the last two years or so. They began as daily gratitude posts on fb. They brought me so much joy and I got such great feedback from others about their impact that I woke up one morning wishing I could do it everyday. So I decided to do these as daily writings on the spiritual traditions of 12-step recovery, where I enjoy long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol. I fully embrace the 12-step recovery traditions and do not violate my own or anyone’s personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, TV or films. I do, however, live a happy, healthy, and wonderful life as a result of the application of these spiritual traditions in a daily format of living that began in 1986. This is my journey and my way of life. To be able to write as I do and have others enjoy, learn from, or disagree with these writings has become a large part of my life. The writings here are my own. They are begun with a quote that inspires me to write that particular day. The goal with these is to eventually create a book that can be used by everyone in recovery, if they resonate with my message. Let’s all hope we are coming together today for the beginning of that process. Thank you for your visit and your input and your attention. May your recovery be ongoing and beautiful.

I am a therapist and counselor with long-term recovery from addictions and personal trauma. My writing reflects these experiences and the road I have traveled in 12-Step recovery settings, along with the work I have done for over 30 years in the field. My love of dolphins includes the stories of them being healers in places all over the world. I long to offer every broken spirit and body the experience of a healing hug. May my words and stories inform, uplift and delight your spirit and soothe your weary heart.
