COURAGE MONTH: DAY 5: “The greatest thing a man can do in this world, is to make the most possible out of the stuff that has been given him. This is success, and there is no other.”― Orison Swett Marden
We all have “stuff” of one kind or another. Making a life around what our “stuff” is can be a wonderful challenge or never touched.
A lot of people will work to hide their past or large parts of their story. Others will make up a new past or story. Yet others will fall victim to their story and never do much of anything past that.
What does the other group do? They overcome and achieve great things, only because they are impelled by a courage that is strong and deep.
The kindest and most gentle people are usually those who have been brutalized by life. The most peaceful are those whose lives have known great danger and fear. The strongest have been broken into tiny pieces and managed to put themselves back together somehow. These are the courageous folks. They don’t give up, but they own their lives and live ALL of it with courage and fortitude.
