FAITH MONTH: DAY 10: “We must cease striving and trust God to provide what He thinks is best and in whatever time He chooses to make it available. But this kind of trusting doesn’t come naturally. It’s a spiritual crisis of the will in which we must choose to exercise faith.”― Swindoll Charles R.
WOW! A “spiritual crisis of the will”…what a great phrase! I love words and this phrase says it all. I call it Ego, but it is the same thing.
When we talk about self-will run riot, that is how life is when we are driving the bus. I know so many people who are so intense with arranging the details of their lives that there is no room left for the universe to do its magic work. I have been there. I am really good at details and can arrange the flow of the planets in what I can talk myself into is a more advanced pattern…ugh!
Ego is that “spiritual crisis of the will.” I believe it is a true blessing when we can let go of the reins once in a while and experience the miraculous will of the Universal Power who sees all and creates all. It keeps me focused on the little things, like what to have for breakfast. The rest, as I love to say, is in the hands of someone imminently more qualified to deal with it than I.
