HOPE MONTH: DAY 13: “Hope is a passion for the possible.”― Søren Kierkegaard

I do not know why I have so much fun with the quotes about hope. Many of these topics are not as fun for me to work with for an entire month. I always try to find new quotes, which is somewhat challenging. But Hope is wonderful, with so many great themes to work with. I was very happy to find a new quote by Kierkegaard, since I have been a big fan from a pretty early age.

And since EVERYTHING is possible, isn’t it necessary to find passion wherever we are, wherever we are going, and no matter what is going on? I believe it IS.

I get passionate about life…every little aspect of it…I go out on hikes most days and find the most breath-taking places, all around me…all the time. And new people just enthrall me. I can get to know someone for hours…interviewing them. I love to interview people, finding out details of their lives that probably half their families don’t know about. I am infinitely curious about people. Always have been. And I love to share new things with others. But I am just very passionate about life and always, always full of possibility for things to be wonderful…I know it can and does happen all the time, every day. I see it and know it. Great quote again today…I love how much I enjoy HOPE.

I am a therapist and counselor with long-term recovery from addictions and personal trauma. My writing reflects these experiences and the road I have traveled in 12-Step recovery settings, along with the work I have done for over 30 years in the field. My love of dolphins includes the stories of them being healers in places all over the world. I long to offer every broken spirit and body the experience of a healing hug. May my words and stories inform, uplift and delight your spirit and soothe your weary heart.
