PATIENCE MONTH: DAY 13: “Every storm runs out of rain.”― Maya Angelou
Isn’t that a lovely way of saying, “This, too, shall pass?” I think so. Just like every hurricane runs out of wind…etc., etc., etc.
We live with Ego, which loves drama and crisis thinking. Watching that in today’s life situation is interesting. I get to listen to things people are saying and believing about the world right now and think, Wow! None of it has anything to do with me. I just do my day and get on with it. Others take it very personally and are so balled up in what is going on they cannot even breathe.
Life becomes itself. There is nothing else for us except to get out of bed and do what is placed in front of us every day. The best we can hope for is to avoid all the news and walk outside as much as possible. The sky is still there. The world may not be what you are used to, but that is the reason this shift is happening anyway. A shift is needed.
So shift…quit whining and groaning and moaning and projecting and waiting for it to be what you are familiar with and adapt to today’s experience. Grow into the place where you ARE right now. That is all. Just grow. Breathe and flex yourself into this new shape. Quit waiting for it to change again. The change that needs to happen is in your attitude.
Oh! Just be. Nothing for you to do or talk or think about. Just go about your day and do what is yours to do and let the Universe run itself. It really is better off without your input or opinions or fears or drama. Don’t dream up more trouble than is knocking on your door today. Don’t imagine shit that isn’t happening to you. Stop being a drama queen.
We need to focus on gratitude for another day of breathing. There are quite a few folks who cannot breathe. That sucks! Be grateful for your physical being…no matter what is going on there. Focus on getting some fresh air and exercise and helping someone. Donate to a good cause, stay out of politics and religion. None of your business. Don’t drive any buses that don’t belong to you. You don’t really need to be all that much informed. It does not matter. Only Ego says it does. You are really not that important in the scheme of things. None of us is. But we can make a tiny little difference by shutting up about our fears and dramas and things that are none of our business anyway. Go hug a tree or a dog or a cat (be careful there!) or walk another mile today. You need that more. Be safe with your body and mindful with your words. Quit being the storm and run out of rain…
