These are the things, I believe, we all desire most to be. They are the attributes that we all admire most in others. It is wonderful that we get to aspire to be better people.
Sometimes we really just need to practice being better people. A dream can only begin to occur when we put our feet on the ground and move in that direction. My experience is that when my feet are moving in the right direction, the Universe steps in and aligns the events to bring it about, whatever IT might be.
Not all of my wishes have been granted, thank God, because I am a fickle woman. One day I love this thing and the next I love another. It would be mayhem to have all that I want in one fell swoop! This is a grand process.
As I move in the direction of my dreams, many things fall into place; and I begin to see that there were other dreams more powerful than what I was thinking.
The plan is to align myself fully with what IS and be happy about THAT. Then I can experience more and greater happiness with what COMES. This is the secret. So, I must be mindful, or I don’t know what to be grateful for. Then I must be positive and true; knowing that only my good is happening or coming. And then I must be kind.
There are challenging personalities all around. I spend time with them, sometimes in ways that I don’t want to. But I have to get along to do what I need to do. That is becoming easier for me. There are other times when I just say NO to what is happening, because I don’t have to like everyone or play nice. So, I get to choose, based on what is most important to me that day.
BUT, I must be kind. I don’t want to make amends for being a nasty asshole to someone I think I know better than, or who just irritates me because I am cranky that day. I have to remain mindful and nice. Ugh! That is probably my biggest challenge…except when it isn’t.
I can tell if I have done the work that keeps me right-sized. And when I haven’t, it can be crazy in my little world. We are given these mandates by our hearts; to be kind, to be true, to be positive, to be grateful, and to be mindful. If I am mindful and grateful, I gotta say, it is usually going to happen that I can be the other 3 without any trouble.
Let’s see if we can take this with us today and carry it in our pockets to remember who we are and how we want to be. Peace!
